Finding myself in my paintings.
My family and I moved to Hancock, New Hampshire in 2019 from Woods hole, MA. I was born in the city of Lyon in France and moved to the US in 1987 which is also when I started painting. Since then until present, my professional career as a Physician, Researcher and Acupuncturist has allowed me to travel the world widening my spectrum of life. I’ve been able to channel these experiences into my paintings all while delivering the emotions that each moment or place has evoked in me.
Over the years I have grown as a painter ranging from oil paintings on canvas as well as pastels and watercolors, depicting nature landscapes as well as provincial villages, my favorite being winter sceneries, snow covered landscapes, trees and light reflections.
Recently I have experimented with oil paintings on wood and illustrated a cooking book with watercolors describing classic scenes from the Provence region in France (The book is called “Cooking while learning French: Apprenez l’Anglais en cuisinant!).
I’ve also been drawn to a more minimalistic style using gold and silver leaves in my watercolors. That being said; I am always evolving in my artistic expression and love documenting my travels through my work.
